Thales Antennas is a dynamic, professional, and responsive organisation with a proven traditional antenna product portfolio which includes the new dynamic environment of third generation cellular base station antennas.
Thales Antennas Limited develops and manufactures base station antennas in GSM900, PCN1800, PCS1900, UMTS and 3G bands. Antennas are designed and supplied as single panels and in most integrated multi-band configurations including tri-band and tri-sector. The company also supplies micro and pico cell antennas, including designs and associated base station components such as amplifiers, filters and in some cases, towers.
Thales Antennas also offer a wide range of tactical antennas, for the defence market, covering HF/VHF and UHF frequency bands. In addition, we design and manufacture telescopic support masts suitable for all field applications.
We operate globally either directly, or through our business partners. Thales Antennas is headquartered at its main production plant in Southampton, England.
All products are designed and developed to prototype production stage at the company's R & D establishment based at Sittingbourne, Kent, England. Some 10% of revenues are expended on new product design to service the individual needs of the OEMs and operators, as well as to develop new cost-effective product designs. Our antennas are also produced under licence in Spain and South Africa.
The sales organisation is based at Southampton with offices and representation in most countries with significant telecoms roll-out programmes. Thales Antennas supplies operators throughout the world including Vodafone, Orange, One2One and BT Cellnet.

Suitable for installation in new networks, and for the enhancement of mature systems, Thales's antennas are developed using the latest materials and manufacturing techniques, to provide the operator with leading edge products. Thales Antennas' product range incorporates the latest system requirements including polarization diversity and is specifically aimed at environmentally conscious operators. The dual slant polarized range reduces the number of antennas required but retains the capacity necessary for an expanding network. Horizontal beam widths are typically 60/65 and 85/90 degrees with options for vertical beam widths and gains. Most of the designs have fixed electrical down tilt. Variable electrical down tilt is available on certain models. All panel products are supplied with standard mounting hardware and tilt bars. Other mechanical tilt bracket options are available. The Company's product range is being constantly expanded as operators identify new requirements to meet their changing roll-out programmes.
