Formed in 1994, UshaComm is a global software technology innovator that provides low total-cost-of-ownership Business Support Systems to Wireline, Mobile, Cable and IP/ Broadband communications operators across 5 continents.

Supporting all wireline and wireless network standards, UshaComm’s convergent relationship and revenue management solutions have been installed at over 35 customer sites, in both legacy and green-field environments.

With over 400 personnel worldwide, UshaComm is head quartered in London with additional offices in Kolkata (India), Reston and Portland (USA). Research and Development is centralized in India where there are approximately 300 software engineering specialists continuously applying new technology to UshaComm’s pre and post-paid billing, mediation, revenue settlements and business analysis software offerings. UshaComm offers a comprehensive portfolio of products and services including:

Unicorn – built on an independent, component-based architecture, the convergent Unicorn billing solution offers a universal formatter, real-time rules-based rating, rules-based billing, customer administration, accounts receivable management, credit risk control, trouble ticketing, fulfilment, marketing automation, sales commissions, settlements (roaming and interconnect), and systems administration.

Unicorn Prepaid – designed to meet the requirements of the operator, whatever its size. Offering 3 integration scenarios: 1) as a pre-paid standalone API application 2) as a dedicated platform approach through a partnership with prepaid SCP vendors 3) or; a fully integrated approach with a combined pre/post paid convergent platform. Unicorn Prepaid can manage prepaid card generation and customer management through to moving clients to and from pre/post paid platforms, or to a blend of the two, along with support for multiple pre and post paid account hierarchy’s.

Pegasus – a convergent mediation and service control solution that is built on a distributed architecture, Pegasus provides seamless integration into downstream applications such as billing, fraud, interconnect, and data warehousing. Providing extensive audit and revenue assurance, Pegasus contains a collection agent, core mediation, core service control, element manager, and system administration.

e-Merchant – integrated to work with all IP network elements, e-Merchant delivers a real-time collection of log records, filtering and aggregated functionality, rules-based record enhancement and filtering, content-based billing and settlements, SLA and IP performance network management.

Analyst – a business intelligence tool, Analyst provides reporting, statistical analysis and business alert support to operators. Analyst can draw upon data to provide a single view of the business; scrutinise call types and patterns; query tariffs, call durations, dates and time periods; and monitor business performance, thus aiding marketing, sales and IT departments with business critical information.

UIBS – Unicorn Interconnect Billing Solution (UIBS) is a single-view, convergent interconnect system with wholesale, retail billing, and multi-vendor settlements capability. Built on a CORBA platform IBS has the scalability to process high volumes of traffic, enables quick time-to-market, and enables significant cost savings for operators.

SLA Manager – enabling OSS functionality through both the application and network layers, and provides an interface to 3rd party and end-user applications. SLA Manager enables real-time accounting of usage data, complex analysis and has user friendly GUI.

Services – UshaComm has a dedicated team of engineering professionals who are able to deliver a range of services and solutions right from the initial deployment stage through to facilities management, maintenance, customised documentation, and training programs. UshaComm also offers a Business Achievement Program, Hotline to UshaComm Engineering, plus regional field support centers.
